An Improved Robust Adaptive Controller for a Fed-Batch Bioreactor with Input Saturation and Unknown Varying Control Gain via Dead-Zone Quadratic Forms

In this work, a new adaptive controller is designed for substrate control of fed-batch bioreactor in the presence input saturation and unknown varying gain with upper lower bounds. The output measurement noise nature reaction rate biomass concentration water volume are also handled. design based on dead zone quadratic forms. ensures convergence modified tracking error boundedness updated parameters. As first distinctive feature, robust auxiliary system proposed order to tackle uncertainty. second converges compact region whose bound user-defined, contrast related studies where depends bounds either external disturbances, states, model parameters or terms parameter values. Simulations confirm properties closed loop behavior.
